Bendan Henelley Director of Development – JAAS Sytstems, Ltd.
This quarter’s developer spotlight is on Brendan Hennelly, an Acumatica Developer MVP, who recently earned our very first Developer of the Year award which was presented to him at the General Session of our developer track at Acumatica Summit 2019.
Brendan is the Director of Development at JAAS Systems, leading the development efforts in the Acumatica Manufacturing Edition. He has been working with integrations and customization in various ERP products for over 10 years, most of which have been with JAAS and their manufacturing product. He has an unique background as an both implementer and developer of ERP systems.
As a talented developer, he enjoys helping and teaching others about the Acumatica xRP Framework on Stackoverflow. Brendan has answered over 80 questions this past year - well outpacing other community members outside of Acumatica. He also has been a key winning team member on one of the three Hackathons we have held at our Annual Summit.
Brendan likes to write tools to automate as many processes of the daily developer tasks as possible. Some examples of these include: an Acumatica build notification Tool, a TFS query tool, or a number of PowerShell scripts to setup sites, package Acumatica projects, and deploy/publish customizations.
Outside of his work-life, Brendan spends time with his two young children, playing video games, doing projects around the house, and working on maintaining their cars. He’s a DIY kind of guy, especially enjoying the challenge of doing projects that he hasn’t tackled before.
Joe Jacob Senior Software Engineer – Crestwood Associates, LLC.
Joe is a Senior Developer at Crestwood Associates. He has been designing and building ERP related software projects for over 14 years, originally with SSYH, Inc. that is now Crestwood Associates. Joe's background includes more than 30 years of experience in programming in various anguages. He is proficient in VB.NET, C#, and SQL Server development as well as several web-based technologies. Since Joe started his career as a Corporate Controller, he provides valuable insights when working with Clients.
For the past year, Joe has aggressively embraced the Acumatica platform and framework. He now manages several projects ranging from simple customization projects to developing more client specific integrated solutions. Joe has also been a key performer in migrating Dynamics SL customizations to Acumatica for existing Crestwood Clients. This is Joe's first year as an Acumatica Developer MVP and he looks forward to continued growth on the Acumatica platform.
Terry Sample Senior Software Developer – AIM Solutions, Inc.
Terry has been developing innovative user-friendly solutions for the AIM client base for over four years. He has spent five years working with Acumatica framework since version 3. Terry’s advanced knowledge of developer applications, tools, methodologies, and best practices makes him an invaluable asset to the AIM team. His cross-platform proficiency and fluency in programming languages enables him to create seamless integrations with other software. Terry enjoys contributing helpful suggestions and solutions to the Acumatica community through stackoverflow.com. His technical expertise and patience make him a great mentor to Junior Developers on the AIM team.
Here are some of his accomplishments at AIM:
Pricing Suite – Development and coding of a custom suite specifically for an AIM customer that is a leader in the propellant industry. The new module creates contracts for both sales and purchases using daily industry updates to provide pricing.
AIM Positive Pay – Leading method of check fraud prevention. It can support the various formats that banks require for the file out of the box.
AIM AP Document Maintenance – Allows the user to edit non-financial data for AP invoices entered into Acumatica.
AIM 1099 History – Allows the user to edit 1099 vendor balances.
AIM CC Expense – Custom application that uses the Expense reporting module and mobile app. Allows uses to track expenses incurred with company credit cards.
In Terry’s free time, he builds and creates remote controlled aircraft and drones, and he rides motorcycles and bicycles. He aspires to one day make a guest appearance on American Chopper. So look out for Terry!
Joshua van Hoesen Lead Software Engineer – ASI
Joshua is Lead Software Engineer at Accounting System Integrators, a results-oriented provider of world-class software products and consulting services. He leads the development team, which built NonProfitPlus - business management software engineered with non-profit organizations in mind and powered by Acumatica ERP to deliver a suite of fully integrated applications.
As a developer who has worked with the Acumatica framework through years of its growth and refinement, Joshua has cultivated a deep knowledge of the framework and the systems that may interact with it, which has allowed proposals of innovative solutions to overcome challenging client requirements. He’s an active member of Stackoverflow.com who encourages fellow developers to share their questions and help each other out in the hopes of building a solid knowledge base for a solid framework. In his free time, Joshua enjoys being involved in his local community as well as politics, having run for public office in his spare time.
Joshua says: “Though I did amateur stand-up comedy at one point for kicks and giggles, the fun side of me outside my work with the community and politics (I think they're fun lol) can be found working with an improv group during the week. I also do the occasional theatre performance, having recently been Baptista in Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew.”
Fernando Amadoz CEO – SkyKnack
Fernando is the Founder and CEO of SkyKnack, an ERP solution provider that assists Acumatica partners in developing customizations, integrations and new products, as well as implementation and training services.
Prior to founding SkyKnack, Fernando was Head of Design and Development of the team that created the now Acumatica-integrated Field Services module. With a decade of experience in the development of ERP applications, Fernando and the SkyKnack team are now focused exclusively on the Acumatica ecosystem.
If you attended the 2017 Acumatica Summit in San Diego, you might have heard his Abba joke (...) He promises no jokes for 2018!
In the off hours, Fernando enjoys listening to U2 and watching Chris Nolan movies ‒ don't blame him for being mainstream! He enjoys learning languages, relies tremendously on metacritic.com to select the next movie to watch, and is now pretty sure that Federer will win his 20th Grand Slam during the US Open this year.

Marco Villaseñor CTO – Interastar
Marco is Co-Founder and CTO of Interastar, a technology company that helps businesses streamline their operations and accelerate growth by providing powerful integrations with Acumatica and other cloud technologies. He leads the Technology Solutions team, which built SynteghLS—a heavily integrated Acumatica ERP module for leasing companies—and the electronic invoicing and accounting modules required by companies in Mexico.
As a specialist in systems integration and collaboration applications, Marco has developed a knack for innovative solutions from emerging technology and is thrilled with the growing availability of microservices, APIs, and connected devices. He encourages his colleagues to continue learning about new tools and share their knowledge.

Joe Satlin Director of Product Innovation – JAMIS Software Corporation
Leading the JAMIS development team, Joe has been working very closely with our Acumatica engineering team over the past several years. He serves as JAMIS’ Director of Product Innovation. His 20 years of experience in software solution design, as well as his extensive knowledge in product development and delivery, has boosted JAMIS’ success and growth since joining the company back in 2011.
The JAMIS and Acumatica partnership has allowed JAMIS to enhance and release their next generation product, Prime ERP. Harsha Sarjapur Co-Founder & Managing Director – InfoSourcing Inc.
For those of you who attended the Hackathon, no doubt you remember Harsha – a rather colorful, fun-loving, and skillful developer.
Harsha is Co-Founder & Managing Director for InfoSourcing Inc, an ERP custom solution provider in Washington DC metro in Ashburn, VA.
He heads the Sales & Product Engineering teams, have been instrumental in working with their clients who have challenging ERP Implementations or might need a tight integration with 3rd party services.
Leveraging open source, he and his team quickly developed eSignature for Acumatica Cloud ERP and were able to deploy a proof-of-delivery, automating Korpack, Kevins and other businesses. Harsha built custom shopping cart integration for Acumatica and numerous other goodies that business can take advantage of their rich knowledge of integration.
Prior to partnering with Acumatica Cloud ERP, Harsha worked for Everest Software as Product Manager managing eCommerce and add-ons, and brings 20 years’ work experience across numerous departments, wearing multiple hats of functional, technical and managerial skills of executing small or large projects. But at his core, Harsha is a developer – tried and true.
Harsha believes that nothing is impossible – if you spend the time and have the necessary passion.
